❊ About Us

Making the digital world visible.
One connection at a time.

At ThreadPoint, we believe young people deserve more than the ability to use technology. They deserve the chance to understand it. From asking AI a question to streaming a video, we help them look behind the screen, ask questions and discover what makes the digital world work.

ThreadPoint began in Hackney with a simple idea: make a world that usually feels invisible easier for young people to see and understand. What started with story-led workshops has grown into learning experiences, books and research connecting technology to the infrastructure, people and places behind it.

So whether a young person loves technology or has never given it a second thought, there’s a way into the conversation. Because understanding the world you’re growing up in shouldn’t depend on where you start.

What we believe.

Understanding before opinion.

Young people should get the chance to understand the technology shaping their world before they’re expected to have a view on it.

Understanding isn’t agreement.

We make complex things understandable without pretending they’re simple, and leave plenty of room for questions and disagreement.

Independent by design.

Organisations can fund access to ThreadPoint. Funding access doesn’t mean funding the conclusion.
